It’s time for a change. Get out of your dusty and dreary office; it’s time for a vacation. Don’t worry about where you’re gonna go, or what you’re gonna do; we’ve got that covered. You’re headed to the Philippines, and don’t think about making any pit stops because you’ve got a busy schedule. We just gotta get you here.

1. Waste a Day at Boracay

Boracay Ocean Beach

The ocean is definitely medicinal. I mean, just look at that view!

Endless beaches, bright blue skies, crystal clear water. These are just some of the things you can expect on Boracay Island. On this beach the party never ends with constant fire shows and live music. In the daytime, hang out on the beach; maybe go for a dive, take a sail boat, or fly through the sky in a parasail. Whatever you do at Boracay, you’re gonna have a good time.

2. Tour Hinatuan River

Boracay Enchanted River

I don’t think I’ve ever seen water that blue!

This must-do is an absolutely astounding feat of nature. This flawless, miraculously clear-blue pond makes for an excellent swimming location. If you’re not into that (it is 270 feet deep), then you can always hitch a ride on a boat to peruse the location. While you’re there, help Nemo out with a little snack. In fact, you’re encouraged to feed the fish!

3. Spelunk in Sumaguing Cave

It’s a good thing I kicked that “sleeping with a nightlight” thing from when I was a kid.

Come on, you know you wanna say it. You wanna tell people that you got to spelunk a cave. No judgement from me! Anyways, if you’re into caves and you’re physically fit, this is a journey you’re gonna wanna embark on. Be prepared with flash photography as this dark, mysterious cavern is filled with gorgeous stalactites and sights that the world above will not believe without pics.

4. Climb Mt. Pulag

That sea of clouds definitely looks inviting.

Kept close to the hearts of many mountain enthusiasts is Mouth Pulag. Visiting in the day will award you with the “sea of clouds”, a phenomenal spectacle of the heavens and true Insta material. Take the trip at dawn for a breath-taking view of the Milky Way, an other-worldly experience where pictures cannot do it justice.

5. Island Hop at Coron

Coron Philippines

Talk about a vacation destination!

Coron is one of the hottest island-hopping destinations in the Philippines, and one of the world’s best-kept secrets in wreck diving. If you wanna feel like an old-timey archaeologist, take the plunge into the waters of Coron. Keep in mind that the Island is also renowned for its towering limestone cliffs, sprawling white beaches, crystal-clear water, diverse marine life, lively coral gardens, and exotic tropical forest. So, make sure you enjoy that too.

6. Time Travel at the Famous Calle Crisologo Street

Please tell me that the ice cream isn’t centuries old too!

Don’t be frightened when you take a stroll down Calle Crisologo. No, you haven’t actually teleported back in time to the 16th century, the buildings are just from then. Prepare to experience Throwback Thursday on another level. Explore the old buildings, take a massive amount of selfies, and have a bite to eat in any number of diners along the street. A horse-drawn carriage is even available for any tired travels.

I’ll race you to the top!

There’s no elevator at this historical monument, you’re gonna have to take the stairs. But trust me, they’re worth it! These structures act as a testament to man’s greatest achievements. The indigenous peoples of the Philippines constructed them by hand over 2,000 years ago! Bring your hiking shoes!

9. Explore the Puerto Princesa Underground River

Nice fishey.

Whale sharks = gentle giants. Their size should not intimidate you. While they may be the biggest fish in the world, they’re not big fans of human (luckily)! Observe them from a distance and enjoy their natural beauty. If you’re nervous, you can always watch from the boat. Eager swimmers will often dive in and challenge the required 4-foot boundary.

So, now you’ve got the low-down on some of the best activities in the Philippines and the hype is real. Good news is that the easy part is getting you there. Just contact MDT and we’ll stick you on the first plane ride in the morning. Now, the hard part is gonna be figuring out how to fit all these must-dos into your schedule!
