Phuket Island is the largest island in Thailand. It is located off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. The sea is known for its gorgeous coral reefs and warm turquoise waters, thus becoming a popular tourist destination surrounded by a plethora of gorgeous retreats. Of the islands, Phuket Island is a where you wanna go for some RnR. There are countless activities for people of all ages to do on this small tropical island.

Kata Noi Beach

This picture makes us want to sprawl out on a giant, Costco beach towels.

Kata Noi Beach

For a day of sun and waves, take a visit to Kata Noi Beach. This gorgeous beach is located on the southwest side of Phuket Island. Due to its location, this oasis is one of the less crowded beaches found in Thailand. Don’t let that dissuade you, the beach is extremely beautiful and clean. If you make the short trek, you’ll find yourself at the tiny little bar located on the southern end of the beach. Scattered across Kata Noi Beach are a plethora of resorts, providing an excellent HQ to explore the rest of the island (in case you fall in love and decide to stay).

Phuket Big Buddha

Absolutely stunning.

Phuket Big Buddha

One of the island’s most famous and important landmarks is the Big Buddha Phuket. On top of the Nakkerd Hills, in the middle of Kata and Chalon, is the vast image of Big Buddha. The Big Buddha is 45 meters high and covered in stunning, white Burmese marble. This impressive site offers an incredible 360-degree view of the island, perfect for taking pictures. Leave your shorts at home though, because appropriate attire is required for this worthwhile attraction.

Karon View Point

Definitely pack your selfie stick!

Karon View Point

Just south of Kata Noi Beach is the gorgeous popular overlook, Karon View Point. Gorgeous scenery with a romantic view of the Andaman Sea makes this viewpoint an exceptionally popular attraction. Take a photo for your new desktop background, check out the shop or have a picnic. Whatever you do, this attraction is a must for any Phuket traveler.
